Playing the waiting game

Jakarta, Indonesia -- Following the Chan Family photo session, another one of V's (of V+M) sisters contacted me with a maternity photo session request for herself. Can we say...official family photographer?! :)
Because nothing beats natural light, my preferred sessions are those done outdoors. Unfortunately, outdoor photo sessions are slightly more complicated in Jakarta. The places that are pretty, often require that you obtain photography licenses and the places that don't...well, they're not the prettiest. So we worked with what we had and I think the pictures came out alright. And really, it's hard to mess up pictures when your subject's so photogenic! Good Luck with Baby, S! -- You'll make one gorgeous mama! :)

A Walk Through the Gardens

Singapore -- J+V picked me up early one Saturday morning for a stroll + engagement session through Singapore's Botanical Gardens. I've known J since we were 14 -- many many years ago :). Because we've gone through many of life's milestones together, it seemed only fitting for us to celebrate her engagement together as well. And what better way to do that than a casual engagement photo shoot?! :) They were such good sports throughout the shoot and did everything I asked them to which made my job so easy. Thanks for indulging me you two. And congratulations! I'm so thrilled for you!

If you think C looks familiar, it's because she's V (of V+M)'s older sister. She contacted me after seeing V's wedding pictures and asked, if I could photograph her kids if and when I swung by Singapore. As luck would have it, I was indeed planning a trip to Singapore and added her to the calendar :).
A few months later, I met the Chan family at Singapore's Jacob Ballas Children's Garden. I had such a wonderful time photographing this gorgeous family + playing/running around with the children.
Chan family, I had such a blast and hope you did too! :)

Hello from Southeast Asia! Here's a sneak peek of what we've been up to...

of Princesses, Sparkles and Pigtails

Los Angeles, CA -- Meet 3-yr-old A and almost-1-year-old Z, who their mom affectionately and appropriately call Princess Sparkles and Pigtails. These super-stylish sisters were naturals in front of the camera and so easy to photograph! :) I had the most wonderful time hanging out and playing with them + thought the session was extra special because I was reminded of the joys of sisterhood and of my own sister, who I love dearly.

A Beautiful Baby Boy

San Diego, CA -- Meet Baby S. He's 4 months old and is the apple of his grandma's eye. Actually, their entire household (and I) are completely smitten with him. But then again, who wouldn't be. Congrats J+W. You guys make such a beautiful family.
